The first historical point that we will visit is the Berati Castle located on a hill 190 m high on the right of the Osumi river. Then, always inside the Fortress, we will visit the Iconographic Museum “Onufri”.
The museum displays 173 objects belonging to the discovery of Albanian churches and monasteries, as well as to Berat. Next comes the church of the Holy Trinity, which is a medieval Byzantine church inside the castle fortress, part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The adventure continues in the old district of Mangalem, which will send you back in time to the Middle Ages from the cobbled streets to the architectural peculiarities of the houses.
Last but not least, we will visit the district of Gorica and we will get there by walking along the Osumi river and reaching the Gorica bridge, it is one of the oldest and most famous Ottoman bridges. The bridge will lead us to the Gorica castle and the Spyrodonit church.
