THE UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE BUTRIN MICROCOSM OF THE MEDITERRANEAN
The ancient ruins of Butrint, the first Albanian UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1992, is located 18 Kilometers south of Saranda. Butrint is famous for its size, space, beauty, and uniqueness, embedded in an unspoiled landscape. Fantastic natural surroundings are part of a 29 km² national park. The ruins come from different eras and extend over 2500 years. Take yourself at least two hours to explore the area.
