Overview

There is no better way to start your trip to Korca than with a Turkish coffee and a piece of cake in one of the best cafes located in the narrow cobblestone streets of the old bazaar (Pazari i Vjetër). This area, full of typical buildings and small boutiques, is where our tour will begin.

Itinerary

Stops at: Mirahori Mosque, Korçë Albania

Built by Iljaz Hoxha, from the time of a veteran of the Istanbul conquest and the city founder of Korca.

Stops at: St. George (Shën Gjergji) Boulevard, Korçë Albania

The St.George Boulevard leads to some of the city's most important buildings: the Education Museum ; the Orthodox Cathedral and the Archaeological Museum. Then we take a walk along towards Fan Noli Boulevard until we reach the Bratko Oriental Art Museum and the Museum of Medieval Art, one of the best and most complete in the Balkans.

Stops at: Korça brewery, Korçë Albania

The most famous Albanian beer is produced in Korça and also is one of the most famous in the Balkan Peninsula. Afterward, before returning to Tirana, we will have a delicious lunch in one of the traditional restaurants in Korça.

If there is still time, we will also visit: Dern Youth Park, Korçë Albania

This park offers the opportunity for long walks along the promenades and “first kisses” for everyone who lives in Korça. Nowadays the park is also an open gallery of contemporary art made of numerous stone sculptures. Korça is the first city in Albania to welcome sculptors from all over the world every year, to realize and present their compositions in Korça. In this way, the city is given an outstanding value, which is related to the early tradition of stonework in this city.

The Albanian Martyrs' Cemetery, Korçë Albania

This cemetery is located above the city of Korca. A large statue of a soldier with his fist raised is placed in the cemetery in memory of fallen soldiers who died in Albania during World War II. The statue is on Mbledhja e Beratit Street.

French Martyrs' Cemetery, Korçë Albania

This is a large cemetery in Korça. Esr is located near the youth park. The French military cemetery has 640 crosses. They mark the graves of the French soldiers who died here in the fighting conflicts of the First World War.
